Frequently asked questions

  • How long can a child lie comfortably in the cot?

While designing the Joolz Day, we took great care in creating a cot that offers a lot of space. And we managed to design a large cot where a newborn can lie in safely as well as a baby of approx. 6 months old. After 6 months a baby has developed enough strength in his/her back to sit up in the seat.

  • Is it possible to use the cot as a car seat?

No, the cot can not be used as a car seat. To transport the child safely by car an officially approved car seat is necessary. The Maxi-Cosi Cabrio (Fix), Maxi-Cosi Pebble, Cybex Aton and BeSafe car seats can be clicked on the Joolz pushchair when using the special Joolz car seat adapter set.

  • Is it possible to make use of the cot separately?

Yes, the cot can be used without the chassis. Actually this is quite handy as the cot is certified as an overnight sleeper. Underneath the cot we placed 4 safety caps. On these caps the cot stands on safely and the fabric of the cot stays protected. The cot can also be used as travel cot for the first six months.

  • Is the cot reversible on the chassis?

As the parent always wants to have an eye on his/her baby, we did not see the use of having a reversible cot.

  • Is the mattress of the cot anti-allergenic?

Yes, the matras is made from a special anti-allergenic material and is washable at 60 degrees. This is important as a child develops his/her allergies that it will possibly encounter later in life in its first six months.

  • Is there a rain cover available for the Joolz Day cot?

The Joolz Day comes as a complete package, including a rain cover. This rain cover also fits the cot.

  • How do I attach the mosquito net or comfort screen on the cot?

The sun hood is attached to the cot frame with circle shaped clips. On the outer side of these clips there are small round openings where you can click in the buttons of the mosquito net of the comfort screen. After this you can pull the elastic part of the mosquito net or comfort screen over the cot.
